Lavallette camp trains young forensic scientists By Jean Mikle LAVALLETTE – Instead of swimming or making crafts, kids who attend the borough’s Crime Scene Investigation and Forensic Science Camp will get to solve a “crime.” The camp, now in its seventh year, is open to kids ages 10-17. Scheduled to be held from Aug. 11-13, it’s sponsored by the Lavallette Recreation Commission and the borough’s Municipal Alliance. The camp is run by Doug Houser, a teacher and developer of the Forensic Science Program at Brick Memorial High School.
